It was a tough day...

I woke up late today, so skipped breakfast. I bought kimbap and coffee to bring to class though. Shireen and I were chatting when an ISC staff entered the classroom and announced that Prof. was not feeling well so all his classes are cancelled for the day.

We felt kinda sorry for him, but the staff mentioned he might have some makeup sessions next time and we were all sighing.

Sadly, Prof. wasn't the only one that's sick.

While discussing developmental psychology with Shireen, I had an aura. Though it sounds cool, it definitely isn't. Check this out to find out more: aura.

I panicked, because Shireen didn't have paracetamol (or they call it Tylenol here) with her. Because it's the first sign that a migraine was going to come up. Shireen and I immediately ran to one of the pharmacies nearby to hopefully get it.

But the nearest one was closed! So we had to rush to another pharmacy to get it.
And when I went it, I was like, 'Paracetamol... 있어요?' And the uncle took so long to come and talk to me. At that time the aura was like, really huge in my eye already.

He slowly explained that they don't call it paracetamol here, they call it Acetominophen or Tylenol. To which I said okok. I paid for it, keeping my calm, and the moment I was outside, Shireen helped me and I took two tablets. And heaved a sigh of relief.

We then went to Paris Baguette to get her lunch, and we saw her eye candy. She must be really happy ^_^

Oh, but then the sad part was, before the paracetamol could take effect, the headache came and everything went downhill. With the pain, the nauseating feel, and the disorientatedness... I went ahead and took my developmental psychology test and it was the most uncomfortable test ever.

And after that, I couldn't take it anymore and went back to Frontier to rest.

Until dinner... It was a pretty good dinner. A strange assortment of kimchi, ddeok (떡), ham, sausage - 부대찌개? I don't know...

And after that, headed to Wangsimni's e-mart (이마트) to buy stuff/groceries.
People were looking at me weird for taking this photo, but who cares! It's for my blog~ Anyway, ignore the eyebags please, I had a tough day T_T
I bought the box so that I could transport my stuff from place to place easily, and then when I'm settled down, use it for laundry box ^^. Orange juice for daily dose of Vitamin C, not sure whether it works well, but I can bring it to class! And 라면 for cases of emergency!

And also, 95% Aloe Vera gel. These things are really awesome here. A big tub like that was only 4,900 won~ (It's a much bigger tub than Nature Republic's)

Back to lessons tomorrow... I hope migraine doesn't come back. ): It's been a long time since I had an attack like that. And I hope it stays gone.

Oh yea, I saw a cat and her kitten today while walking back! But I didn't take a photo because I wasn't feeling well, and people started crowding around it. Poor kitties.

Hehe, basically that's my day~ It rained today so it was less hot! ^_^
Before I end off, a smile for you!
My mum says my hair looks more natural and less awkward now! What do you think? (:

Oh, and for those who took care and were concerned for me today, Shireen, XingCai, and 승익 오빠, thank you very much~ <3 Hearthearts to all of you~!!

And my blog readers, thank you for reading and have a nice nice nice day ahead~ ^_^

Lazy lazy Sunday~

I spent my day at Frontier today! Didn't really go anywhere coz had some work to do and I was tired too...

On my way back from Sinchon, I went to Etude to take a look, coz I didn't want to be mundane and walk straight back home yet.

I bought myself a Wonder Pore Freshener, and a few pieces of nose packs. The store people were really nice! I was the only customer around so she explained the products pretty well. Though, they didn't have nail colours I like so I just got those few.

When I was making payment, the really nice girl gave me a lot of freebies! ^^
Like she kept putting things in, and the store manager was there too, he wanted to offer to give me this kitchen rubber thing, but it was really awkward, so I told the staff it wasn't necessary...

I also asked if she had a Shinee poster, and she was confused... But she asked the store manager and he he went to get one for me ^^
The girl who served me was kinda astounded and said to me, '我都不知道我们有这个㖿!' Basically that she didn't know that they had such posters, she is so cute! So I was really happy after my purchase~

Anam Etude House is really awesome~

Well anyway so I went back to hostel and just did my stuff the whole day.

Took a nap and then went to have dinner at the cafeteria.

Dinner was 만두국, and it was pretty delicious. MingQuan was in the cafeteria too today, so we sat and watched London Olympics on the TV.

Forgot to take my weekly stroll along the streets of Anam, thus explaining the lack of photos......

Well, anyways~ Already feeling the busy-ness of ISC >.< Kinda don't want this to end!!!
I must treasure every moment of it!

승익 오빠, 과제가 많은데 힘네요~ 피곤하면 더 쉬세요!!!

And before I leave, a smile for you~!!
Thank you all my beloved readers! Chuuu~!

Keeping it cool on a Hot Summer's Day

Today, I went ice skating at KU Ice Rink again (: The KU ISC guidebook wrote that it only opens on weekdays, but in actual fact, it opens on weekends too! And the student price applies too (:

But since it was a weekend, there were a lot of skating lessons going on and a lot of people skating around too. When I put my foot onto the rink, suddenly I just forgot how to skate >.< So I had to start really slow to let my muscles get used to the movement on the ice.

But after awhile, I got the hang of it again and increased speed and all. But there were so many people around, and it was scary coz there a were a few times where I almost skated into people who abruptly swerved in front of me or just stopped.

Went back to Frontier to shower, and went out again to meet Jacq and Kangwei.

They were late reaching Choco, so I just entered anyway and sat down at the common area waiting for them.

Was chatting with Seungik and he mentioned having Samgyetang today. Was kinda 'awww...' because Jacq and Kangwei wanted to cook dinner today, so we probably won't be having that today >.<

But when they returned to Choco, I was really surprised because they told me that they bought Samgyetang pack to cook for dinner! I was so happy!

Apparently they didn't know today is the day for having Samgyetang, but they bought it coz they thought it would be nice! They also added abalone to the soup. And cooked beef to go with it. ^^ Delicious!

I brought grapes for dessert, like a little potluck party!
They have wanted to try the grapes since last week, so I just brought some for us, hehe~

Well, it was a really satisfying dinner. And whenever the three of us come together, we will definitely have bingsu! This week featuring...
Royal Milk Tea Bingsu from Twosome Place! Really delicious bingsu (: Don't know if it's my love for bingsu, so the bingsu is really nice. But I would think that it really is nice! The atmosphere in the cafe is good too!

So we chatted for quite some time, and it got too late. So I decided to stay with them at Choco for the night ^^

That being said, I'm borrowing Kangwei's laptop, thus the lack of Korean characters, and you'll realize next - the lack of my daily smile for you. ):

I'll post one tomorrow alright? But have a great day ahead anyways, and thank you for reading!

Music - KPop or not, I still like it!

Lunch was... 갈비탕, I think. It was pretty delicious, pretty much like the one I used to have at Hwang's back in my home university. (:

I spent quite a bit of time on lunch because I met MingQuan at the cafeteria, as well as his friend Lewis. So we spent some times chatting. I didn't really chat much, but it was good to have company during lunch!

I went back to my room to surf the net a little before, and resting, before I went out to Inchon Memorial Hall for today's Buddy Programme lineup - KPop Concert!

Well, there wasn't a lot of people. Mainly the ISC buddies around, a few professors, and a few groups of students. Met 승익 오빠 there, and chatted a little while waiting for Caili to arrive.

So the performance started with traditional Korean instrument ensemble performing both traditional and contemporary songs.
I thought the singer had an awesome voice (:
Can't really see them clearly but, oh wells... Really appreciated their performance! (:

After their performance we then had a BBoy performance by a group called Hangout.
I thought their skills were pretty awesome! But then again, I'm not an expert on this and I haven't had much exposure to it so I can't really compare. The leader of the group was pretty tall and pretty muscular... but in terms of skills I still think the other members were cooler. Leader-guy was really good with his flips though, and for a tall guy it's really not as easy.

They then had a joint performance thing, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Haha~
And then they had a girl group, not the really famous one, just some girl group. I know how to say the name but have no idea how to spell it out here. But they were pretty good too.

Oh yea, today, they kept spamming 'Like This' by Wondergirls. I still have it stuck in my head, and whenever it plays, I'll imagine Martin and Deborah doing their 'like this, yo, like this~' dance. Hehe..

And at the last part of the programme, they had some people go up on stage to be taught the simple steps to 'Like This' -,-
And really super cute, two professors went up to dance too!

Most of us just sat back and watched (: I would have gone up if perhaps the song wasn't 'Like This'. The leg action is too awkward to be done in front of everyone, seriously.

And well, it kinda ended just like this after they danced it a few times...

Talked to Caili's buddy after the performance. But he kept speaking to me in Korean, and even though I could understand some of it, it's not sufficient for me to have casual chat! >.< And he's supposed to try to talk to Caili, not me T.T

Went to walk around outside of KU main gate. Took a picture, like I always wanted!
Ok it isn't that spectacular coz I wasn't right smack in the middle of the courtyard, but still!
:D

After not finding any place that we could eat, we wanted to have Lotteria. Couldn't find one either, and the nearest was sorta far... So we just settled for Popeye's!
My meal! It was pretty delicious~ Don't know how long it's been before I've had a Popeye's biscuit! (It's hidden behind the fries!) The fries were pretty good too, and that small pack had lots of fries >.<

After an unhealthy dinner, Caili and I walked back to Frontier while talking...

And so I just came back here, studied a little, while trying to explain to my mum and my dad how to use the computer for a task I requested them to help me do. Downloading stuff here is really terrible! I was really looking forward to the awesome Korean high speed internet! D:

Well, yea, thus ends my day.

And sorry, I don't have smile photos today so...
This little guy shall say hi to you for me... Saw it while walking down to main gate from Inchon Memorial Hall... And you know me, will always have a soft spot for cats ^.^

Thanks for reading!
(And if you hate cats, sorry for scaring you with the cat.)

Catch a movie with me?

Last day of lessons for the week~
I finished a social psychology test today, and then went to have lunch at a nearby bistro called MOOI with Shireen, BaoHui, and Sonia.

It was a really cosy place, and it looked really pretty too! We were the only customers there so it was pretty calm and we could talk all we wanted.
View from the inside! The walls facing the outside were glass, so it gave a really nice lighting effect on the inside. Also, you could look to the outside, watch the world go by while enjoying your food! Not bad, huh?
They had a little side dish of pickles, crunchy and delicious. But nobody really ate them in our group. And also provided little wet towels for our use.
I ordered a garden salad because I wasn't feeling particularly hungry. Veggies are good for health too! Eat a salad every now and then!
It was a pretty huge portion and I couldn't finish everything... it was sprinkled with cheese too, for additional flavouring, haha! I won't say it's a spectacular salad, but it wasn't a bad choice for lunch either!

We had to walk back to school after lunch, but the weather was really hot, so I dropped by for a Peach Yogurt near school.
They had Froot Loops on the yohgurt, and it made it look REALLY cute ^.^
Taste wasn't too bad, loved the peach bits in the middle (Blocked by my fingers)

When class ended, I was invited to go watch Dark Night with the rest of the peeps. After some thought, I decided to go... Because if I didn't then I won't have anybody to watch it with anymore after that ):

But before I went off, I went back to Frontier for a nap. I was just so tired...

So we reach 청량리(Cheongnyangni) station at about 7.20pm. I thought the other people were to go ahead and purchase the tickets first, but no! The movie was at 7.40pm and at 7.20pm we were still waiting for latecomers!

Anyway we went ahead to buy the tickets first. Seoul Summer Sale card let us have 1-for-1 movie tickets! (I think.)

The movie place looked the same as Singapore's looked...
And the snacks bar...
One difference is that they have ticket machines, and there were many ticket machines, so unlike Singapore, people didn't have to stand in long queues waiting for staff to serve them. They could purchase their tickets from the machines!

We had to use the Seoul Summer Card, so we had to purchase tickets the manual way...

Dark Knight time!

I won't talk about the movie here, coz it's not the point. But I would say, not bad.. Didn't watch the first two, but the movie was alright for me ^^

I went back to Frontier after that while the rest went out to Dongdamun to shop. Tired, plus extra credit slides to do... After just doing one slide... I gave up. It is not worth the effort.

I slept at 3am, and still kept thinking about extra credit slides. My mind couldn't fall asleep till like 4am, I think. It was a terrible feeling.

That was why I couldn't update my blog last night! Could only do it now, in the morning/noon...

And I'm super hungry, gonna go eat something /=

Before I go though, thank you all for your patience and your readership!
A smile for you, and have a great day ahead!

I caught a ninja!

The terrible test is over! :D

Media test was pretty traumatizing. We were given 12 short answer questions to answer, and it's just general questions regarding lecture material (+ readings), and we were to answer in... mini-essay form. O_O There were definition questions too, so we were all kinda dying in there. Especially our wrists and fingers! Write write write write write...

Social psychology class today was about close relationships. We were showed some research on what people deem to be happy in their lives.

There are so many people nowadays who says they'll be happy with their careers, and their money, and whatever that is. Many of my friends don't get why I keep saying, as long as I have a happy family that loves me in the future, I'll be happy. Coz to many people at our age, academics and career seem to be the only goals in life that they feel will make them happy...

But research in social psychology has shown that marital satisfaction, family life, and friendships are the main contributors to people's happiness in life.

Thank goodness, finally I have proof that I'm not thinking about things wrongly.

So people who think that career is everything in life, think again...

Developmental psychology talked about late adolescents, like about us at our age now... It was more of about health, substance abuse and whatnot.
Took this before Developmental Psych. class started...
And today, the clock was spoilt and we were all kinda in a panic coz I had a test after dev psych... And he wasn't gonna release us on time... But he only overshot by a little anyway, so I made it on time for my test.

Anyway, today for lunch, Shireen and I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, so we just sat on a shaded spot on the stone ledge and chatted about anything under the sun (pun intended).

And after the media test, I was waiting for Shireen at Woodang Hall because Victoria told me to pass something to her. And guess what!

While waiting, I actually met 승익 오빠! For the past 3 weeks or so, I've never spotted him ever in school, even though he took courses in ISC... Haha! :P

Hence the title of the post, 'I caught a ninja!'

Well, after the grueling test, Shireen and Yi Fong brought me along to dinner at 유가네 (Yoogane) along Anam. It was a really spicy dinner, but tolerable. We finished a set for two people just well.

Shireen really loves taking photos with me ^.^

We had a really satisfying dinner. And then we went back after getting ice cream (again! >.<) and I just started studying for tomorrow's test.

Weekend's coming! But that just means another week is over ):
Noooooo.... Time is flying past too quickly!

Oh, and I also spent quite some time looking at Qoo10 since I wanted to get a polaroid camera. Mummy said she'll pay for it as my birthday present, so thanks mum!!! When you come over we'll take pictures ok!

=D

Thus ends my day for today~

Before I go, a smile for all of you, my lovely blog readers!
Stitch says hi too~ ^^

Have a great day, everyone~!! Thanks for reading!

What a cheesy day...

Tomorrow, I have a test. Did the necessary studying, so I will just go ahead and take the test and be satisfied about it. No regrets.

Today's psychology lessons talked about dating and stuff.

Social psychology was about love and marriage. Interesting that there is research on such stuff, huh?
Learnt about the difference in take that males and females have about infidelity...
Males tend to be less tolerable with physical infidelity, like when their girls are enjoying having -urhurm- 'some nightly fun' with another guy.
Whereas females are less tolerable with emotional infidelity, like when their guys are having a strong emotional attachment to another girl.

Doing a poll with the class, we got about the same results as expected! Nice.

Lunch was pretty simple, sat with Shireen, eating the same things for lunch, chatting under the tree like two princesses...
And lunch is served!
Cheese kimbap and banana milk. Heehee...

Oh ya, anyway, we were both looking at some birds today while having lunch... When one of them flew over and perched on a branch above us. The first thing I said was, 'Oh no, Birdie, please don't poop...'  And the next thing he did, WAS TO POOP -,- (Whaaaaaaat.......) And it was perching nearer to Shireen than to me.

Fortunately, the defecation landed on the ground away from us both, but in an effort to hide from the birdie's bomb, Shireen got cheese on her shirt ):

Bad birdie! D:<

After lessons, I followed Shireen and friends for dinner. We wanted to get a waffle to eat, but the Waffle Place was closed!!!! In the end we went to the kimbap place to eat. Shireen and I had 치즈 라면 (Cheese ramen)!

After that, we kinda just bought an ice cream and went back to hostel already...
So it was a pretty simple day. But so cheesy!

It was quite a nice day too, because my Pharoan Freshies went to school today so there was a lot of activity on the the whatsapp and facebook group chat ^.^
So glad I could talk to them too =D

Was feeling hungry in the night, the cheese ramen wasn't gonna sustain me throughout the night! So I went and got myself some milk and Oreos...
The Oreos here are really cute!
One box, two small packs of Oreos! ^.^ I ate one pack, this time really using the Twist, Lick, Dunk way. I never really tried it coz I have never eaten Oreos with milk before...

But to be honest, Twist, Lick, Dunk, way of eating makes it ore delicious. I don't really know why we have to twist and lick it, but I understand why dunking it (in milk) makes it nicer. The milk makes the cookie soft, so it's easier to bite and eat the cookie with the cream! :D

맛있어요!

Drank the rest of the milk, and went back to reading Korean.

Might flip through my notes later to refresh my memory for tomorrow's test... Wish me luck, alright? ^_^

Smile for you! Thank you for reading~ <3

Looking back...

To be honest, nothing very interesting happened today. I just went to school for class as usual...

Social Psychology was talking about attractiveness today, and it was the most interesting lecture I had today. Basically, Prof. talked about the researches done on physical attractiveness. He mentioned that done on a cross-cultural state, one of the factors for attractiveness is darker skin.

At this moment, Shireen and I looked at each other, smiled, and gave each other a high-five.
-Aww.... yeah!-

Developmental psychology was about adolescence and puberty. Kinda have heard about this many times... So, wasn't very interesting. Except for when he talked about Anorexia and Bulimia. Thought that was really interesting.

Media was about Broadcasting in Korea, which was quite an interesting topic. Learnt more about how the broadcasting systems developed in Korea. Pretty darn cool.

But the bad part is that we have an assignment coming up, and my group hasn't decided on a topic yet >.<

Thanks to Victoria who 'had to' rush off for her shuttle bus back to CJ at 4.30pm. Seriously?! -,-

Just went back straight to Frontier House after that... And studied my main materials so I can continue my Korean Language self-study in the night.

Went through a lot of chapters today, not sure if I can remember everything. C'mon brain, just eat it all up nomnomnom...

Someday, I will start deciphering 어린왕자... Actually these few days I keep re-reading Chapter 1, until I make sure I understand everything fully without help. -Determined-

But since there isn't anything interesting to write about today, I shall tell y'all about why I chose to come to Korea...

It all started more than 2 years ago, when Angela and I have graduated from High School. So we were looking for places to travel to for our graduation trip. I voted Japan, because it seemed like a good choice and I haven't been to Tokyo during my exchange and science fair programme the previous time.

But the cost, was just too high. We wanted to go to somewhere with snow, and Angela said, 'Why not...Korea?'

At that moment, I was a little apprehensive because to be honest, I was self-studying Japanese at that time, and haven't paid much attention to Korea at all! Even if I do watch Korean dramas, I watch it with Chinese dub. But... Angela was pretty excited about it so I was like, yeah, okay let's give this a try.

So it is, in the March of 2010, I went to Korea not knowing a single thing about it.

Making Kimchi for the first time without even know how to write '김치'... With pretty bestie Angela!
Mt. Sorak with the awesomest tour group ever! Everybody was so cooperative and friendly and happy and it made us all very happy ^^ Climbing Mt. Sorak during winter, not knowing how cold it could get up there...
Jackie, our awesome and caring and funny tour guide~ Who played the most important role in making me love Korea so much...

I went there not knowing a single thing, and he spoke so much about culture and history, that at the end of my trip, I told myself that this is the place to be. I like the people and the culture here, I like the seasons, I like the food. And entering NUS, I decided that I would try for an exchange programme with a Korean university.

I wasn't swayed by K-pop, like most people would be. I was inspired by a country with a rich culture, a rich history, and the love of the people. Without knowing its language, I purely experienced Korea for the first time as a blank state.

In fact, it was so enjoyable that I convinced my Mum to go on a second trip with me.
Mummy and I at Jeju's 성산일출봉 (Seongsan Sunrise Peak)... December 2011 - January 2012.
We spent our New Year's Day over in Korea, and at that time I was wishing for luck so that I can study in Korea!

And true to my words to her, she really enjoyed herself here!

And now, here I am, fulfilling my smaller dream of getting to study here. (:

Of course, being here would be impossible without the help of Jessie 선생님 who taught me Korean for 6 months, and is still constantly helping me... And my Korean classmates, without whom I wouldn't have the courage to embark on my dream.

Of course, also, mummy and daddy for spending a fortune on me, and also for their moral support.
I know y'all are used to me not being at home (seriously!) but yea, thanks for letting me go overseas on my own! Immense trust!

I feel really happy being here (:

I think it'd be better without the stresses of mapping my modules back, but whatever! Things will go smoothly, I pray, and I know.

And last but not least, thank you readers for following me on my Korea Adventures, haha! ^^
사랑해요!

I had this blog, initially, to see how far I can get with my dreams. And now that I have taken a big step as a student, I am writing to help my juniors if they do want to experience Korea from a student's point of view.

At the same time, helping tourists everywhere with my limited information...
And also to log my journeys...

As for my buddy 승익 오빠, thanks for all your (ongoing) help, really appreciates loads, and I hope that when you go for your exchange, you'll be as excited and happy as I am ^.^

Hehe~

It's getting kinda long... So before I go, a smile for you!

31 Flavours?!

Church today as usual. There were slightly more people today, but the usual people we always see didn't seem to be there...

When I returned to Frontier, I just sat at my desk and Skyped home the entire day. I also managed to study a little for my upcoming tests.

Today was a rather uneventful day. But I did manage to talk to a few people back in Singapore and that made me feel better in general.

Today's dinner was... Mackerel. The little bones were pretty scary. MingQuan came to eat with me ^^ So I wasn't eating alone. But we were more focused on watching Running Man on TV. And I don't get why the TV is only available in the cafeteria! Why can't we have TV at Frontier lounge or something... -,-

Anyway, after dinner, I had my usual walk along the streets of Anam. I decided against getting 포테이토 (Fries) for myself because it costs quite a bit and I was feeling kind of full after dinner. So I just went to Daiso to walk around.

And after my purchase was done, I didn't know where else to go. Why are the streets of Anam so short?! Is there anyone who can tell me if there is any other place to walk around Anam station? O_O
But I can only be here another 3 more weeks so... Yeah. ):

I don't want to leave Anam... T_T
Or KU for that matter.... ):

Well, so on my way back I decided to get myself a....
Baskin Robbins Ice Cream! Quick fact: Did you know? The pink '31' in between the 'BR' logo is there because they only serve 31 different flavours of ice cream?!

There was once Kangwei tried to be funny and asked me, 'What if they tried out a new flavour and it sells really well?' Well, I don't really know! But there were some flavours I had in the past that I really loved and they don't sell it anymore, so I think they are constantly updating/changing their 31 flavours.

And to make sure the facts are right, I counted the flavours in the BR shop today, and no surprise - 31 flavours! (:

Anyway, I got myself an Apple Mint flavoured one. It was pretty sad because I'm the only person eating it alone in the shop. Everybody was either having ice cream with a group, or with their boy/girlfriends. ):

나 혼자 아이스크림을 먹어. 불쌍하죠?

Haha, kidding...

Even though it was a simple day, I still find it satisfying...

And before I go,
A smile for you! Have a great Monday and I'll catch ya later!!!

Thank you for reading! If you have time, come have some ice cream or bingsu with me!

The Little Prince(ss)!! :D

I slept my fill today! Feeling so satisfied!
There's no homework this weekend, so I continued with my Korean grammar book. When suddenly, I felt like I should get a real storybook to learn more vocab, rather than solely learning from my Ewha coursebook...

So after asking Seung-ik, this was the book I got...

The Little Prince! Or Le Petit Prince...

Honestly one of the best books I've read ever ever in my life. Still remember how much it influenced me when I first read it. And there is so many ways to interpret such a literary masterpiece...
There is no better book to get for my first Korean language storybook! (:

Unfortunately, though, my level of Korean is not enough for me understand it fully just by reading it. I get most of the sentence structures, but not all... And vocabulary is still super lousy now.

Anyway, I then headed to Lotte Mart at Seoul Station to meet Jacq and Kangwei for our weekly 'Family' outing!

We went there to shop for our dinner... Which ended up with us buying...

Yes, I know it's a lot of chicken, but we had three people to share so it wasn't THAT bad. The Lotte Chickens are pretty good! Totally satisfied any cravings I had for chicken for the past couple of weeks...

And they bought abalone too. I can imagine Singaporeans giving me unbelievable faces right now, seeing the abalone. But yeah, it's pretty common here in Korea, and it doesn't come in cans. These are fresh, living abalone. We put the abalone in some 라면(instant noodles), and ate it after we finished our chickens.

Watched the older episodes of 런닝맨 (RunningMan) while we nommed away...

We then went to walk the Sinchon streets after dinner, actually wanting to have 팥빙수 (Patbingsu) at Paris Baguette... But we had to walk past this row of shops that had Skin Food, FaceShop, InnisFree, and Etude House along the way.

And guess what?

Etude House had a storewide 30% discount only for today!!!

So what do we do? We being the pretty girls we are had to go check it out, at the dismay of Kangwei. But since he needed to get stuff for his sister, he wasn't that bad about it...

I bought a few stuff for myself, mainly facewash and some other stuff. Kangwei and Jacq bought a lot of stuff! Out of the three bags, only one small bag is mine and the rest are theirs...

I used my HanaBank card to swipe for purchases for the first time today (:

And because of the time we spent at Etude House, we couldn't have 팥빙수 at Paris Baguette coz they are not taking orders anymore... T.T

But did you think that would stop us? NO!!! We headed to the awesome TWOSOME PLACE... And ta-dah! They were open till midnight so we could still have our 팥빙수!

It's a really cosy and awesome place. And it's really nice to still so many people so late at night. A sight you'll never see in Singapore. People just go to cafes to study, and basically just sit alone.

And this time, we had...
OH MY... It looks super awesome even on the photograph... 유자빙수! Or in English it's Citron Bingsu. That ice-cream thing at the top is actually frozen yogurt! Tasted it, and it was RedMango style - Rich, can still taste the milk in it. YUMZ!

It was a really refreshing treat, and I'd definitely recommend it to people who like refreshing desserts!

Anyway, thank you Kangwei for treating me to the bingsu!

See, happy family! Daddy Kangwei, Mummy Jacq, and baby Cassie!
(곰 세마리가 한 집에 있어... :D)

And I really had a happy time with them today... Three weeks before they have to go back... But I'm really glad that I have them to share my Korea memories with. As my media prof would say, we have collective memories together!

Oh yeah, this photo. Haha, I didn't have plasters anymore coz of the blister so I took the opportunity to get Pororo plasters. I know like in Korea, only kids below 4 years old like Pororo, but Pororo is super cute! I have never watched a Pororo episode before, so I like it purely because he's cute. >_<

I'm not a kid!!!!! (Although the box says KIDs)

So basically, that's my day. Happy with my purchases! Tired enough to sleep now~

Angela and Melanie are coming next week! :D So excited to see them, hehe~

Alrighty, before I go...
A smile for you! Oh yea, if you see that drink I'm holding in the picture, please buy it ONLY IF you love very very sweet drinks. It's lemon tea, but it's too sweet for it's own good. I thought the sweetened lemon teas from Yeo's or Seasons back in Singapore was very sweet already, but omg, this lemon tea owns in sweetness - hands down.

So yea, just a piece of my advice. Feel free to try if you wish...

But yeah, thanks for reading, and I'll see you tomorrow!
